About Lift Up Initiative

A not-for-profit agency, Lift Up Initiative is a catalyst for creating child-centered, family-focused, diverse communities through a continuum of services. Our inclusive programs for children and families support child welfare and adoption, pregnancy from prenatal through postnatal care, nutrition, parent education, early childhood and youth development, counseling, and grandparents and kin raising their grandchildren. We proudly sponsor federal WIC, 21st Century Community Learning Centers and Head Start/Early Head Start programs. In all we do, we strive to be guided by our values and mission.

What makes us unique? It is our culture at Lift Up Initiative since 1997. We listen. We help families and children decide what they want to achieve. We provide access to skills and knowledge and resources to inform life choices. Our passionate staff and board go the extra mile every single day. Our nationally recognized team of 300 staff and 900 volunteers delivers statewide services wordwide. We are a family-centered, child-focused, culturally diverse organization that is committed to the communities we serve. We are proud of our history and excited about our future.
